Odda - Utne - Kvanndal - Norheimsund - Jondal - Odda.
On this roundtrip of the Hardangerfjord you will experience the very essence of what Hardanger has to offer.
The journey from Odda to Utne will take you from industrial heritage surrounded by mountains and National Parks to the orchards of the Hardangerfjord. As you travel along the narrow roads you will see fruit orchards creating patterns in the landscape and fruit farms nestled on every hillside. You will also pass by some of the best cider farms in Norway. If you are lucky, you might spot a porpoise playfully jumping up from the fjord or a mighty sea eagle looking for prey.
From Utne, you will continue by ferry across the fjord to Kvanndal. The ferry has a cafeteria and restrooms. The journey then continues by bus to Norheimsund through the very heartland of the Hardangerfjord. Sit back and enjoy!
You have time to rest your legs a little bit in Norheimsund. There are restrooms and supermarkets near the bus terminal.
The next leg of your journey will take you from Norheimsund via picturesque Jondal and back to Odda. It involves another beautiful ferry crossing and two of the longest tunnels in Norway.
Bus line 930 from Norheimsund goes on all the way to Odda. It drives on to a ferry between Tørvikbygd and Jondal.

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)
Trips are not available for booking on public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the trip is bookable.
