Eidfjord - Geilo - Eidfjord.
A bus takes you on a scenic drive across Hardangervidda; Northern Europe's largest high mountain plateau. The route follows Highway 7, and takes you through a fantastic landscape. Sit back and enjoy the travel.
You reach Geilo after approximately 2 hours. The mountain village is located along the Bergen Railway, between Oslo and Bergen, and is a National Park village. Geilo offers excellent hiking and nature-based activities for the whole family. If you rather just want to relax and enjoy the village by browsing around, that is also definitely an option.
Geilo Summer Park is worth a visit if you are seeking an activity in the outdoors (opens 29 June). What about hiring bikes or taking the chairlift up the mountain? Read more about the park HERE
. Visit the Tourist Information in the centre for further information.
The travel back to Eidfjord takes you once again across Hardangervidda.

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)
Trips are not available for booking on public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the trip is bookable.
