Haugesund – Skudeneshavn - Haugesund.
This trip goes to Skudeneshavn. A beautiful and charming city on the southernmost tip of the island Karmøy. The town history dates back to the 19th century when herring harvests and shipping was central.
A visit to the museum at Mælandsgården (summer open) gives you an introduction to the town’s history in authentic surroundings. An impressive collection of objects that reflects the history is to be found at the museum.
One of the most unique aspects of Skudeneshavn is the great atmosphere. One of the reasons for that is the old Skudeneshavn, which is one of the most well-kept old towns in Europe. The old town consist of white wooden houses, boathouses, narrow streets and beautiful backyards.
Make sure to stroll around, embrace the atmosphere, explore the narrow streets and backyards, and have a coffee and a Norwegian waffle at a local café.
In addition to great history and beautiful architecture, Skudeneshavn offers beautiful areas for a walk, beaches and a lovley harbour.
Departure from: Haugesund bus terminal, track 6
