Round trip from Florø to the saga island of Kinn

Florø quay - Kinn - Florø quay.

This trip takes you with the local ferry from Florø to the beautiful, green saga island of Kinn. Let yourself be captivated by the island, its history and the beautiful scenery.

When you disembark on Kinn, follow the road to the right to Kinn Church, one of the oldest stone churches in Norway. Restoration work means that the church is closed in 2019, but it is still a striking sight far out where the fjord meets the sea.

The walk to the church takes approx. 30 minutes along a 1 km gravel road. From Kinn Church, you can walk towards the towering mountain cleft in two: Kinnaklova. And if you dare, you can climb it to enjoy the view. Use the same waymarked path up and down Kinnaklova, following it through the ravine. This path will take you back to the quay where the local ferry moors. The walk around the island is 4 km and takes about 2 hours.

Note! You must telephone the boat before 14.30 to say that you want to be picked up from Kinn. The telephone number for the boat can be found in the passenger shelter at the quay.

Departure from: Florø quay (kai)

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)

Trips are not available for booking on public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the trip is bookable.
