Stavanger - Sand - Stavanger.
This trip goes by express boat from the boat terminal (Fiskepirterminalen) in Stavanger, and takes you on a beautiful fjord cruise to Sand. You have close encounters with the magnificent nature through the panorama windows.
In Sand you have some time to explore the area. We recommend a visit to Laksestudioet (Salmon Studio), the Høsebrua (Høse Bridge) and a culture visit to Ryfylkemuseet (Ryfylke Museum). Enjoy excellent food and views at Ryfylke Fjordhotel or Fargeriet Kafé.
If you fancy doing a hike, Sand harbour is the starting point for a round trip by Høsebrua. The hike is 5 kilometres long and takes approximately 1 hour.
The Tourist Information is open year round, so pay them a visit. More information at www.visitsuldal.com.
The trip back to Stavanger goes by express boat from Sand kai (quay).
Departure from: Stavanger boat terminal (Fiskepirterminalen)
About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)
Trips are not available for booking on public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the trip is bookable.
